The spoiler studs may become loose or even disconnected from the spoiler body. It starts with people using the spoiler to close the hatch/. NOT A GOOD IDEA !!

But also old age may contribute to the problem.

As long as the spoiler is not damaged too much this epoxy repair works great. Here are a few pictures of the repair I did.
